FEP Hook-Up Wire insulation ingredient Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene, also known as FEP, is a kind of fluoropolymer that is frequently extruded as an insulation and jacket material for wires and cables. FEP insulation can also be foamed and used as a dielectric in coaxial cables. It’s also known as Teflon® FEP, and it’s a variant of DuPontTM’s Teflon®. FEP offers high chemical resistance, a wide temperature range, and excellent electrical characteristics.
